Parts Wanted / Culver V gearbox for landing gear retraction
« Last post by Tim Lunceford on September 06, 2018, 07:28:04 PM »
I am looking for the gear box used in the Culver V to retract the landing gear.  It may also have a motor attached.  I need just the gear box but would take both.   Thanks,  Tim

Sounds like a plan, let’s do it!
I’m glad you met Susan there, I haven’t met her but knew she had a Cadet. She is a member of the Culver Cadet Facebook group.

Also, we have the 80th Culver Cadet reunion at Antique Airfield in 2020!

I met Susan Dusenbury, President of Vintage Airplane Assoc, EAA, she owns a Cadet,  maybe we should plan on a group fly in next year at Airventure.  I think we could draw a lot of attention to this remarkable aircraft.   Put it on your calender for 2019.

Looks great Keith!  Way to represent Culver at Oshkosh, I’ll plan on having mine parked there next to yours next year.

Maintenance and Repair / Intake leaks
« Last post by Tim Lunceford on July 24, 2018, 07:10:08 PM »
Has anyone been having recurring leaks around the crankcase end of the intake tube on the Franklin engine?  Seem like about every 10 to 15 hours the o-ring type seals start leaking and need replaced.
