Where do I donate a Culver V?
« on: March 23, 2013, 08:00:07 PM »
Hi all:  My late father-in-law, Maj. Curtis Burns, loved his Culver V, but it's not in flying shape and my MIL is tired of paying for the hangar in Bryan, TX.  It wouldn't take too much to make it flyable, apparently, but with him gone, we just can't deal with the mechanics and the upkeep anymore.  We'd love to donate it to a 501(c)(3) that would really want it (and would give her a nice tax deduction), but we don't want to pay thousands to get it there.  Any ideas?

1946 Culver V, N-3104-K, ASEL, C-35 HP.

Thanks in advance.

This is a very generous offer.
You may want to get in contact with Ron Alexander of PeachState Aerodrome.  The museum is 501c and with the recent construction of an additional hangar, there may just be a spot for it!  Its a great little airstrip with a nice restaurant and the museum.  The Veterans day fly-in there is one of my favorites!  Always draws a really nice crowd of pilots and locals every year

You can contact Ron Alexander at 770-467-9490 or ronalexander@mindspring.com.

Best Regards,
