Culver "winged" logo source
« on: January 23, 2012, 11:47:56 PM »
Anyone have a source for the winged Culver logo like on Bill's vertical stab and also seen on various instrument panels?
Either stickers or paint templates would work for me.

Thanks!

I believe Moody Aerographics has these.  There are two different versions, one for each side of the airplane.  I ordered a set from another company, for which I can't find the information right now.  It ended up taking forever to get them, but then I wasn't charged for them.  They were made by placing a red vinyl decal on top of a cream vinyl decal.  I would have rather have had the red printed on, so the decal was one layer.  The originals were water transfer.

I got the Logos on my Cadet from  Pac Graphics.  The owner is Mario Pac
and his address is: 15 Burlington Rd, Harwinton, CT 06791  Phone 860-485-2791

I was pleased with the quality and service.

Thats who I ordered mine from.  The ones that ended up being two layer.

I have a bunch of the Culver decals in several different colors, and two different sizes.  They seem original looking. I bought them on Barnstormers  several years ago.  If interested, send me a message.

Here's a sample of the different logos.  I think a sign shop may be able to use these for patterns.

Keith,  Are those water transfer or vinyl?  The next to the bottom appears to match what I think is original.  My Cadet has water transfer decals in red lettering and design on cream background that are peeling off the airplane, and have seen an unused water transfer decal of the same design.  I've assumed the red print on cream background was the only version offered/used by the factory, but I don't know that for sure.

These decals are water transfer with directions on the back.  They seem to be original or very close to it.
The large size is for the tail, not sure about where the small size goes on the airplane.  I have a few extra.  Send me a note if interested...
