We are continuing to work on the fabric.  We have three coats of primer on now.  We will start on the fuselage soon.  I am selling the Mooney Mite so some time is going into that also.  It looks like we will be late spring to mid summer before we are finished.  We are behind with our progress but things are turning out wonderful so far.

Hi Bill,
I just saw this.  The Franklin is a 90 hp with an older rebuild. It is 0 time on it and it looks brand new. It has the log book also. Ibought it for another plane and just never used it. It looks pristine inside.  I paid $3500 and would take that for it. I also have a Culver engine mount to fit the Franklin engine that looks new to me. If interested, let me know.

  Hi Everyone,
We have been working at a steady pace on the fabric work on the Culver.  Life sometimes gets in the way but we continue on. We are finished with everything but the fuselage. That is starting this next week.  I still have a bulkhead to place and install. When that is finished, we will start the assembly.  Spring time is looking really good right now!  Keep at it as it has taken me several years to get to this point!

   Hi Bill,
Why don't you use a 90 HP Franklin which was used on the Culver at times.  They are available and not as expensive as some of the others.  I just thought, I have one for sale and engine mount also. I had forgotten I had them. Engine mounts are no trouble from my experience.  Woody

Hi Joe,
I was sure hoping for more speed from the 70x54 Sen. prop and a 90 HP Franklin engine.  I guess a better gas per miles would be the real test though.  I'm now down to one more wing to then put fabric on  the fuselage.  After 45 years I need some tail wheel time also!

Well, Dart had a mount but he had a set of plans that I needed!
The Franklin engine mount is still available!

I would love to have stainless steel exhaust for my Franklin engine also.  I now have a 90 degree bend black pipes that would either go outside the cowling or have pipes added to that.  I'm just not that far yet!

This is for a Franklin engine.  The engine mount is in excellent shape, primed and ready for paint.
I also have metal straps for the attachments to the firewall if needed.  There may also be other metal parts.
Send me your needs and I'll see what we have.

I have a rebuilt Franklin 90 engine that came with the plane which was original engine and prop.  The plane is all there with the original log books also.  I'm so cramped in my garage and hopefully in a week or two I will start with the fabric on the wings at the hanger.  I hope to paint each wing as the fabric is finished.  That should make for a better paint job using Airtex paint.  It cost more but the finished product just looks better!  Woody
