New Culver Instrument Panel
« on: July 23, 2014, 07:50:43 PM »
Hi all,

Here are some pictures of the new instrument panel I built for my airplane.
It is a duplicate of a factory original panel I have that came from s/n 313 NC37803

I am looking for a set of original instruments to put in it. I plan on using a sensitive altimeter in place of the old non sensitive unit the airplane came with.

The old panel in this post is the one without the trim and extra instrument hole

Hi all,

I just went to the local vintage Ford shop (CW Moss in Orange, CA) and bought a new Model A Ford amperes gauge
for my airplane. This is the amperes gauge Culver used.

It is a 1 3/8" gauge and best of all a new Model A Ford amperes gauge costs $8.00.

Hi all,

Here is a picture of my new instrument panel with all the hard to find instruments in place.

I still need a Compass and tachometer.

I'm planning on finding a WWII vintage sensitive altimeter (like something out of a T-6, Stearman, etc).
I really don't want to use a non sensitive altimeter.
