Culver General Discussion / Re: Culver V propellor challenges

Update. Today I received the Aircraft Records CD from the FAA on the Culver V N80281 that was formerly owned by Larry Dale. This is the V that had been converted to the Superior Satellite configuration back in 1961. At that time it received a 90hp Continental with a Beech Roby propellor.
Once Larry had purchased his V circa 2001, he had his mechanic, Evan McCombs, inspect the airplane. Larry stated, in an article printed in the PIKE’S PEAK FLYER, that Evan McCombs “…replaced the B-R prop with a fixed-pitch metal prop…” with no further details provided.
I was hopeful that the Records CD would contain the FAA 337 Form for this alteration. Unfortunately, it does not. The only 337 on file from mechanic McCombs was from June 2001 referencing the change from an Air-Maze air filter to a Brackett Aero Filters unit.
This is just another dead end in the search for a viable propellor option for Culver V aircraft.
